Bearing off means removing your checkers from the board, and you win by being the first to bear off all 15. You can only start bearing off once every one of your checkers has reached your home board. Then each die lets you remove a checker from the point matching that number. If you roll a number higher than any occupied point, you bear off from the highest point you still hold. If a number matches an empty point, you use it to move a checker closer instead. Be careful while bearing off if the opponent still has a checker in your home board, because leaving a blot can get you hit.
