A backgammon board is set up with each player's 15 checkers in a fixed starting position that is mirrored for both sides. The board has 24 narrow triangles called points, split into four quadrants. Your checkers begin spread across a few key points: a small stack on your back point, a group in the outer board, another group near the middle, and a wider stack on your home-board six point. Both players' arrangements are mirror images, and each moves in the opposite direction toward their own home board. On Game Finale the board is set up automatically, so you can just start rolling.
