You win in Batak by capturing at least as many tricks as you bid, fulfilling your contract without going bust. After the top bidder names trumps, all four players play out the 13 tricks, following suit and over-trumping under the rules. Every trick you take counts toward your target. If you are the bidder, reaching your bid number means you succeed; falling short means you go bust and lose. Defenders, meanwhile, often aim to stop the bidder from making their number. So winning is less about taking every trick and more about hitting exactly the goal your bid set, safely and reliably.
