A meld in 101 Okey is a valid group of tiles, either a run or a set, that you lay on the table.

A run is three or more same-colour tiles in consecutive order, and a set is the same number in different colours. To open, the tile values of your melds must total at least 101 points. After opening, you can add tiles to melds on the table, which is called laying off. Building high-value melds efficiently is the central challenge, since you cannot play any tiles until you reach the opening threshold.
