In Eşli Okey the two players seated opposite each other are partners, forming two teams of two at the four-seat table. Play still goes around the table in turn, but results are counted per team rather than per person, so your partner's progress helps your side and the opposing pair works against you both. You cannot see your partner's tiles or coordinate openly — table-talk is not allowed — so success comes from reading the game and playing your own hand well. When a team wins, the pot is shared between the partners. It uses virtual chips only, so there is no real money and nothing to cash out.
